HISTORY
Micro Asia College of Science & Technology, Inc. was founded in 1994. It started as Iba Institute of Technology (IIT) offering technical-vocational courses, namely, One-Year Computer Technician, One-Year Computer Secretarial and One-Year Computer Programming. The following year, Two-Year courses were offered to cater the academic needs of students. IIT was then located at Zone VI, Iba, Zambales.
Realizing the academic needs of the community, the institution expanded by offering baccalaureate courses in 1998 changing the name Iba Institute of Technology to Micro Asia College of Science and Technology, Inc.. MACSAT is now located at Zone 1, Iba, Zambales.
In 2007, the Micro Asia College of Science and Technology-Sta. Cruz, Inc. was established in Sta. Cruz, Zambales offering technical-vocational programs.
MACSAT Constantly aims to provide quality education and excellence to its students as it serves as a venue not only for academic development but human development as well.
MISSION
The MICRO ASIA COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, INC. aims to produce highly skilled, competent and competitive manpower by providing students high caliber trainers who will deliver the much needed knowledge and skills in the school’s pursuit of quality education and by having teaching aids such as top of the line computer machines and relevant program of curriculum to suit the needs of times.
VISION
In general, the Micro Asia College of Science and Technology is geared towards offering a balanced curriculum program for study and experience to every individual in order to provide leadership in the industry , government and different professions.
GOALS / OBJECTIVES
The Micro Asia College of Science and Technology carries the mission of creating better-equipped students and graduates through the integration of advanced computer education with professional competence for needed leadership in the Philippine development. The mission begins with the fundamental computer courses leading to advanced-studies in computers, thus, pioneering in high-tech-curriculum and designed on-the-job training courses.
In the pursuit of its mission, the college is guided by the following commitments:
To merge a s the center for human development through computer education.
To develop human facilities through the optimum use of computer hardware and software proliferation while maintaining a balanced and quality relevant approach in the arts and humanities.
Specially, the College has the following objectives in offering the courses:
To provide students not only the fundamental background but also the most advanced technology in the field of computers together with their applications in the other fields of concentration.
To make quality education accessible and affordable especially to the poor sector of the regional population.
To provide the much-needed education by which the less privileged but academically qualified students pursue higher education and become productive individuals with equal opportunities for self-development.
The Micro Asia College of Science & Technology, Inc. expects its students to participate actively in the realization of the Vision and Mission of the College and towards their own growth and development. Towards this end, all student should strive to use the academic, social and cultural opportunities offered by the College towards the development of their interests and potentials into their becoming self-directed, self-actualized persons.
